Why Train at CCHS

At Cabin Creek Health Systems, we want to set you up for a lifetime of success with thorough in-person training. MA training elsewhere can cost 15 thousand dollars or higher.  By paying for your tuition ourselves, we are investing in you because we have faith that you are receiving a stellar education that will make you an equally-stellar Medical Assistant upon graduation. Through CCHS, you will work with the area’s top providers in Kanawha Co. in Belle, Charleston, Clendenin, Dawes, and Sissonville.

The Program

NIMAA trainees learn both in-person at our various clinics, as well as online. We will pay you hourly for up to 20 work hours per week. Due to the program’s flexibility, this is an ideal option for those with outside responsibilities, including parents and caregivers.

The program guides you to proficiency in several domains at our different locations, providing you the opportunity to work alongside other MAs and providers for a well-rounded experience to set you up for success.

The entire NIMAA program runs for 29 weeks with a commitment of around 36 hours per week. You will engage in interactive materials, education and mentoring tailored to you, group discussions, personalized support, and video sessions to help bolster your understanding.

As the program comes to a close, you will register for the credentialing exam. Our goal is to provide you all of the education needed to pass the exam, which allows you to become a credentialed Medical Assistant, at which point you will be hired by CCHS.

Placement

Landing a position can require sending out dozens of resumes and cover letters across many months. Our placement system eases the burden of finding a job after completing the program. Upon graduation from the NIMAA program and successful completion of the credentialing exam, you will be placed into one or more of CCHS locations as a Medical Assistant with a commitment of two years.
