Instructions on Italian Beef & Cabbage

Ingredients

  • Ground beef or sausage, 2 lb
  • Green raw cabbage, 1 small head or 6 cups
  • Canned marinara sauce, 24 oz
  • Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
  • Garlic, 4 cloves or 1 tsp powdered garlic
  • Basil, fresh or dried, 1 tbsp
  • Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your vegetables. Slice the head of cabbage into strips. Mince garlic.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once hot, add beef or sausage.
  3. While cooking the meat, add garlic, Italian seasoning and basil. Halfway through cooking, add marinara until boiling.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and cover the pan. Simmer for ten minutes until cabbage softens.
  5. Open the lid and cook for three more minutes.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
