…all without you having to take time off work to take your child to an appointment!

Our Services

Our school-based health clinics are key in linking health care with education, leading to better health and learning for students. These centers offer health education and services right at school, helping students stay healthy and ready to learn, which can help them graduate and lay the foundation for a lifetime of health.

Acute Care Sick Visits

Students whose parents have enrolled them into the healthcare program by filling out the consent form may visit their school-based health center for primary care and acute issues for evaluation and treatment

Well Visits

CCHS offers well visits for students, either in addition to their primary care provider (PCP) or for those who have limited access to their PCP. Well visits monitor your child’s physical, behavioral, and emotional wellness.

Management of Chronic Conditions

We are here to offer healthcare and behavioral education for chronic conditions, including asthma, diabetes, hypertension, and obesity.

Physical and Sports Examinations

Preparation physical exams are offered for student athletes during school hours. Scheduling is easy, simply call your school’s healthcare clinic during open hours or stop by to set up an appointment.

Behavioral Healthcare

We offer behavioral health services (individual therapy) to students struggling with a range of issues, including stress, depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, ADHD, grief, family issues, school-related stress, adjustment to life changes/stressors, and health behavior change (e.g., tobacco cessation and learning healthy habits).

Bloodwork / Lab Services

We offer convenient lab services for blood testing, allowing us to efficiently access your child’s health needs without the hassle of visiting an off-campus lab.

Vaccinations

Tetanus

Children should receive a booster between ages 11 and 12, then every ten years

Meningitis

Children should receive a booster between ages 11 and 12, or at age 16. Required for WV colleges and universities.

HPV

Gardasil is strongly recommended for prevention of Human Papillomavirus, or HPV. HPV is linked to cancers including cervical cancer.

Boosters

Yearly flu and COVID preventative immunizations are available on-site

Allergies

Allergy shots must be taken with regularity, which can put a strain on your schedule. We offer this service during school hours for your convenience.

Prescriptions

Prescription injections can be administered at your child’s school-based healthcare center.

Affordable Care

Your child will be charged no out-of-pocket costs, even if insurance does not cover our services.

Cabin Creek Health Systems will bill your child’s insurance for services rendered. When you sign your consent form we will ask about your child’s insurance, Medicaid, WV Chip, or no insurance.
