D.’s Story
At Cabin Creek Health Systems, we help patients overcome the every day barriers that stand between them and their health, regardless of their ability to pay or their insurance coverage.
D. knows what this looks like. For months, he worked long shifts on his feet in a hot kitchen, standing at the grill through the neuropathy and painful sole warts. At the end of each shift, he had no home to return to, no place to relax, or heal. He was living in a shelter, without a bed of his own or even a place to shower after work.
When D. came to CCHS, our care team saw that his housing situation kept him from being able to heal. Our Resource Care Navigators stepped in and connected him with the services and support that led to D. securing a nice, safe place that he can call his own. Today, he has an apartment. After a long day at the grill, he can finally come home, put up his feet, and rest.
