Instructions on Southwest Chili
Ingredients
- 1.5 lb Ground Beef
- 1 Yellow Onion, diced
- 1 Green Pepper, diced
- 1 Jalapeno, minced (optional)
- 1 Clove Garlic, minced
- 1 Small Can Tomato Paste
- 15 oz. Canned Tomatoes, or 6 Tomatoes, diced
- 2 Cups Beef Broth, Stock, or Bouillon
- 2 tbs Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Salt
Instructions
- Cook Ground Beef, Onion, and Pepper. Once browned, drain fat from the meat.
- Stir in minced Jalapeno, Garlic, Tomato Paste, Diced Tomatoes, Beef Broth, Chili Powder, Cumin and Salt.
- Bring chili to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover the pan and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve with Sour Cream, Shredded Cheese, and Cornbread, as desired.
- Serve and enjoy!
