Instructions on Italian Beef & Cabbage
Ingredients
- Ground beef or sausage, 2 lb
- Green raw cabbage, 1 small head or 6 cups
- Canned marinara sauce, 24 oz
- Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
- Garlic, 4 cloves or 1 tsp powdered garlic
- Basil, fresh or dried, 1 tbsp
- Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare your vegetables. Slice the head of cabbage into strips. Mince garlic.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once hot, add beef or sausage.
- While cooking the meat, add garlic, Italian seasoning and basil. Halfway through cooking, add marinara until boiling.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to medium-low and cover the pan. Simmer for ten minutes until cabbage softens.
- Open the lid and cook for three more minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
